Dear ROW Families: As many of you know, several of our groups attended two provincial-level championship meets over the weekend: the 2022 Summer Festivals in Etobicoke for 13 and under swimmers and the Ontario Youth Junior Championships in Markham for senior swimmers. Swim Ontario has recently announced that all scheduled Winter provincial-level meets are canceled due to the lack of opportunities to train affecting most swimmers in the province in the past few weeks. They are planning a series of swim meets to be held in March and April instead. ROW is very proud to congratulate Tyson MacDonald for setting a new National Para-Swimming Record! On December 4th, 2021 in Montreal, Tyson swam a 100 IM race in 1:07.44, which represents a new Canadian SM1 SC Para-Swimming Record! Way to go, Tyson!!! The Region of Waterloo Swim Club is very pleased to recognize Payton Felder for her fundraising efforts during this past year. Payton raised over $1,200 in order to help pay for attending the International Children’s Games in Hungary.
