Day 1: 400Free, 400IM, 800Free, 1500Free
Day 2: 200IM, 200Fly, 100Breast, 50Back, 50Fly, 100Free, 200Back
Day 3: 200Free, 100Fly, 50Breast, 50Free, 100Back, 200Breast
Format: LCM, 13&O Prelims and Finals, 12&U Finals
Dear ROW families:
This weekend ROW will be hosting its 4th meet of the season, the Cunningham Classic! All competitive groups will be representing the club over the course of the 3-day competition; National Development, Provincial Development 1, Provincial Development 2, Seoul, LA, Paris, Beijing & Barcelona. This swim meet looks to kick-start the Long Course season for the vast majority of our swimmers, after some time away from the pool in March.
The Cunningham Classic is named after one of our longest-standing officials here at Region of Waterloo Swim Club: Angus Cunningham. This meet is both a dedication to Angus as well as to all the volunteer officials for which we would be unable to host competitions without all of their hard work and helping hands. Despite Angus’ daughter graduating in 2011, he has continued to support ROW year in, year out. Angus is exceptionally good at centering the environment around the athletes in order to provide them with the best experience possible.
Here at ROW, we are lucky to have such a large, passionate group of volunteer parents, enabling us to host as many meet as we do each season. We’ve all witnessed the hard work they put in on deck, but there is also lots of groundwork done behind the scenes that can often go unrecognized.
A big thank you to Angus and all ROW Officials for everything they have done over the years and good luck to all the athletes racing this season!
